Maura was called to the Bar in 2007 and is a Member of Middle Temple. Maura is a self-employed barrister with a strong civil service background. Upon leaving university Maura joined the BT graduate training scheme and spent the next 7 years negotiating and delivering multi-national contracts in a variety of market sectors across the globe. In 2004 she took a one-year scuba diving sabbatical before returning to college to complete the GDL and BVC.

Following her call to the Bar in 2007 she completed pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service and until 2015 worked in a range of frontline prosecutorial roles: delivering charging advice to the police, presentation of cases in all types of hearings in court (including trials), and the management of a range of serious and complex casework. Maura has extensive experience in all criminal matters ranging from road traffic offences through to serious indictable only allegationsand accepts instructions for both the prosecution and defence. Client's welcome her pragmatic and insightful approach to evidence and litigation, which, coupled with her court room skills, delivers results.
